Our Team

The BuildingBITs team has a combined 100+ years of commercial real estate experience, in addition to having started and successfully grown numerous other companies in related fields, from asset management and facilities maintenance to financial services and payment systems. We have been there and done that and know what it takes to start and build a business, which is really all just about delivering a unique product or service to a group of people better/faster/cheaper than anyone else. Our business is all about you, our customer. That's what makes us the right team to create and grow this company, not our impressive credentials. ALEXANDER AGINSKY, CEO, Founder

Alexander Aginsky – Principal Shareholder, Founder and Chief Executive Officer – A serial entrepreneur, investor, and seasoned executive with decades of experience in private equity, venture capital, and commercial real estate. Mr. Aginsky managed a complex commercial real estate portfolio of assets for global investors including the development of two major hotels. Prior to that Mr. Aginsky advised high-profile private companies in the U.S. and abroad on multi-million debt and equity financing, mergers and acquisitions, new market entries and other cross-border business transactions.Mr. Aginsky holds an MBA from Thunderbird School of Global Management and is a graduate of the OPM Program at Harvard Business School.

ANDREI ZVEREV, COO/Co-Founder

Andrei Zverev has over 20 years of experience in the financial services, financial technology, and payment processing space. Mr. Zverev is also an entrepreneur and advisor having founded and advised numerous start-up companies. Prior experience: managing director, CEO, VP of operations, and VP of sales and business development at a real estate investment company, international payments companies, financial advisory firm, among others.

Mr.Zverev holds a Master’s Degree in international relations from the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy, Tufts and Harvard Universities.

SPENCER McCORMICK, VP of Real Estate

A career real estate broker, specializing in retail properties has been licensed since 2001 and is the Oregon Principal Broker and Washington Designated Broker for BuildingBits Real Estate Services. Mr. McCormick represented retail’s largest Landlords, responsible for a portfolio of properties in excess of 2,000,000 sf. His ability to understand and analyze real estate comes from over a decade representing national retailers in market entry and expansion location decisions. His experience is completed by years of investment sales experience specializing in nnn properties.

Mr. McCormick has a B.S. degree in Economics from the University of Oregon in 2001.

DMITRY TYOMKIN, CTO

Dmitry Tyomkin has over two decades of diverse technology and business experience across multiple industries including Cloud Computing, SaaS, Big Data, Data Analysis, and Data Science. Prior to joining the BuildingBITs team, Mr. Tyomkin held a leadership position at Sphere Technologies, a leading Chicago Software Services provider, and was CEO of Panacela Labs, a Chicago biotech company. Prior to that, he held various technology leadership positions in Telecom, Insurance, and Retail Industries.

Mr. Tyomkin received his Executive MBA degree with Honors from University of Chicago Booth School Of Business. He also holds M.Sc. degree with Honors in Engineering.

JESSICA ABEL, VP of Marketing

Modern marketing demands mastery of emerging technology disciplines. It’s easy to lose track of the goal of communicating when you’re mired in data – unless you stride between the demands of detail and delivery with the powerful grace of Jessica. A laser focus on engagement and conversion keeps Jessica running a tight, fun ship on the choppy waters of e-commerce. Heading marketing at NameMedia and other startups gave Jessica a battlefield instinct for cutting through clutter and heading straight for results – an exact fit for BuildingBITs’ pragmatic culture.

Jessica holds a Bachelor of Science Degree from the University of Oregon.

Chris Cram, Senior Software Engineer

Chris has been developing software for over 30 years. Broadening his professional abilities and providing his expertise to a wide variety of local and national private companies, as well as multiple federal, state and county government agencies, he has amassed a wealth of knowledge across different computer languages, platforms, and environments. Chris is leading the charge on the development of all new features for the BuildingBits platform and is responsible for making our user experience great.

Chris has B.S. in Computer Science from Portland State University.

DEANNA WOODALL, Digital Marketing Director

Deanna is a marketer to the core and has experience in all aspects of digital and media marketing. She holds multiple certifications, with Google Analytics, Facebook Blueprint, and Hubspot among them. With over 5 years of experience leading teams to success, she genuinely finds joy in discovering the perfect marketing strategy and going for it methodically. She brings tremendous energy and excitement to the team. 

TAYLOR WESTERBERG, Director of Acquisitions

Coming from a diverse background that includes time spent in the wine industry as well as Private Equity, Mr. Westerberg is a dynamic individual with a wide range of skills. Having worked in sales for a winery in a California and as an investment analyst with a PE firm in Eugene Oregon, Taylor has been exposed to various scenarios requiring complex negotiations and thrives when it comes to problem-solving. With a diverse background in corporate finance and real estate development, Mr. Westerberg’s analytical approach to understanding and transacting CRE is a welcome addition to the BuildingBits brokerage effort.

Taylor earned his B.A. in Philosophy from Oregon State in 2015.
